ABOUT PIFFY

PIFFY – Pay It Forward For Youth was established in 2016 and received its 501(c)(3) nonprofit status in 2017, born from the continued love, vision, and desire of founder Bridget Arrick to recognize, encourage, 

and create opportunities for young people in our communities.

From the beginning, PIFFY's mission has been about more than simply helping youth. We believe it is equally important to acknowledge them, celebrate their accomplishments, and remind them of their value.

We celebrate the ambitious young person striving toward a dream. We recognize those who have overcome obstacles and refused to allow circumstances or labels to determine their future. We applaud the young adult who may have taken a different path—leaving high school, earning a GED, continuing their education, learning a trade, building a career, or simply finding the courage and determination to begin again.

Every journey toward greatness deserves to be recognized.

What began with a desire to recognize exceptional youth has grown into an organization committed to supporting young people and families in meaningful and practical ways. Through scholarships, mentorship, educational initiatives, college and career readiness, trade pathway opportunities, community outreach, and partnerships, PIFFY works to empower, motivate, support, and inspire youth and young adults.

Our commitment extends beyond recognition. Through our Annual Gift Giving Event, PIFFY supports single-guardian families during the holiday season, helping bring joy to children while providing meaningful assistance to the parents and guardians working hard to provide for their families.

As our young people prepare for the next chapter of their lives, our newly established College Readiness & Essentials Program helps bridge the transition from high school to higher education. Through guidance, mentorship, college essentials, resources, and encouragement, we work to ensure students are not only excited about what comes next, but feel supported and better prepared to take that important step toward their future.

We also recognize the organizations, educators, mentors, community leaders, and volunteers who dedicate their time and resources to helping young people succeed. Because supporting our youth takes a community—and those who consistently show up for them deserve to be celebrated too.

Over the years, PIFFY has proudly provided more than $50,000 in scholarships, in addition to donations, resources, essential items, mentorship, recognition, and opportunities provided to youth, families, and youth-serving organizations throughout our communities.

Our annual PIFFY Awards Ceremony remains a special part of our story, bringing the community together to recognize deserving youth and the organizations and individuals making a difference in their lives.

PIFFY's Board is made up of dedicated individuals who believe deeply in our mission and generously contribute their time, expertise, energy, and resources to help turn that mission into action.

As PIFFY continues to grow, our commitment remains the same: to recognize potential, celebrate achievement, create opportunity, strengthen families, and remind young people that their community believes in them.

And we hope something even greater happens along the way—that the young people we encourage today will become the mentors, leaders, advocates, and supporters who reach back to encourage someone else tomorrow.

Because that is how one act of kindness becomes a legacy.
